Yeah, I think the limit is a lot farther out there than we think it is. My mom, who is almost 80, walks mt least a couple of miles every day, and she has a group of friends in her age group who cycle regularly. She'd like to get a bike herself, but has some (quite natural) worries. The women who do cycle have been doing so straight through from a much younger age.

Point is, I think it's harder to GET in shape for something from square one the older we get, but once you get going, it's quite possible to keep going and improve.
