darkemeraldsI just found an excellent blog, The South-East Asia Earthquake and Tsunami Blog. It has posts from people on the ground in south Asia, directly involved in relief efforts.
Good is being done. Some order is arising out of unspeakable chaos. Donations and aid from around the world are beginning to reach at least some of their targets. No one's minimizing the horror, but from this blog I get a strong sense of people swinging into skilled, compassionate action. I felt better reading it.
If you receive a paycheck, as I do, keep tsunami relief efforts in mind when your next one comes. The need for our monetary help won't go away anytime soon.
