I love your little travelogues. Never thought about getting stuck on the bridge when it goes up -- I think I would tote a thermos of hot chocolate with me for just that possibility. As for the makeup...I'll bet you just wanted to kick everyone in the shins who could've told you about the mascara but instead let you walk around like that for half the day.
