That's the downside of short hair--the expense of keeping it that way. I'm not one who's willing or able to DIY the hair. But it's so convenient for bike-riding: it dries fast, it's fairly helmet-friendly when I decided to use a helmet, and it goes well "philosophically," if you see what I mean, with the bike-riding way of life.

Yep, my sister has a humungous honeybee hive in her back yard. I've seen honeybees, probably from it, in my yard this spring for the first time in years (we're close neighbors). Here's a picture of one of the hive-pod things:

They're really fascinating to watch.
