Getting that shot was one of my more exciting picture-taking experiences. I managed to stay calm, and the bees didn't bother me, but one did get into my hair, and the effort of not freaking out was considerable!

My sister feels that the keeping of honeybees is one of the most important acts she can do for the environment. I'm inclined to agree, and she's just the right person to do it. You should see her--she's just nuts about her little bees, and they seem to know her. It's amazing.
