Or maybe a fairly hard to beat one. Or, you know, one that might, just maybe, survive another week of this endless PNW cloud cover and rain.

Sheesh. And to think I was worried about bike-commuting in the heat.

It would be extremely odd to have rain and cloud cover here in early September. What we're having now is unusual, but not unheard-of. My grandmother called it a "green tomato summer".

I was just looking at weather stats and it looks like we're pretty safe for your visit. But history isn't a good basis for prediction in these times of climate change, so bring your rain jacket.

Good thing Portland is rife with coffee shops, book shops, theatres, art galleries and nekkid people on bikes.

I read that Brussels' World Naked Bike Ride Day ride had 50 participants. Just for comparison.
