Please be in English...please, please, please be in English. Or French.

I've been using Corel Graphics Suite 7 since the 20th century, and lately it's seemed like time for an upgrade. I found a too-good-to-be-true deal on Version 12 and took the plunge last week.

I knew I was getting an OEM product (disks only, no printed documentation, no box), but the seller clearly stated that it was a full, legal, registrable [is that even a word?] copy.

It came yesterday and I just intalled it. The registration number was valid and setup went off without a hitch. Then it took me to product registration online. Whoops. It was all in German. (Whereas I, when offered foreign language training, said, "I'll take Romance.")

I muddled through the forms--I think. (The term for "email address" doesn't seem to vary a lot, and I ken that kennwort means "password"). The fact that I'm now eligible for online support in German didn't trouble me much, but then I had a panic attack thinking that all the documentation on the CDs was also of the not-in-English variety.

In the few seconds it took me to check, a whole two years of German classes passed before my eyes, countered eventually by the slightly more rational idea of simply cutting my losses and buying a sure-to-be-in-English version for a higher price.

Happily, everything but the online registration page is in my native tongue. So heds will be pastede on, etc., in due course.
