In the few weeks since I wrote this post, I think I'm already seeing the change. For one thing, there are twenty other, less monolithic, filesharing sites, and people are using them all. For another, knocking down MU has made other, legal options more visible (at least to me). So I'm pursuing a combination of sources in building my little infotainment sphere, and I imagine lots of other people are doing the same.
