The Serenity coat

While I sit in my hotel room trying not to die from anxiety about my replacement passport that has to arrive by noon tomorrow or I may not be able to make my trip, I've been finishing the Serenity coat.




The back. Still needs a few stitches, but it's mostly finished. Leaves on the wind, see, and the beadwork.


And a little firefly.


The front, with some of the lining.



But I'm pretty happy with the way it's turned out.

All together now: everyone vividly imagine Nathan trying it on!

Okay, well then, how's this: I just arrived at the hotel where Starfury is to be held, and admitted to the desk clerk that I'm here for the convention. He said he'd already checked in quite a few international guests, so I immediately started scanning my vicinity for signs of the movie stars.

This story would be geekier if I'd a) actually seen any and b) freaked out. Mostly, I just came to my room and found the wireless internet. That's only marginally geeky.
