Bleary-eyed wave

Greetings to my flist from the 14th floor of The Portland Building. It's a perfectly spectacular fall-like day outside in the real Stumptown, or so I gather from glances out the few and small windows we have.

Can I just say that life in general is too short, and life in Portland is too gray, to spend all the daylight hours of glorious September inside the World's Tallest Basement?

And yet here I am.

*glum*

You hang in there, we'll be along shortly to break you out and then transport you to the paradise of your choosing.

Really? How much do you guys rock?

Isn't it lucky that my paradise is right here in P-town in the fall?

Shhh, no problem... I'm in the process of baking you an escape cake with the file baked into the first layer. I'm sure the ingredients will disguise the file when it goes through the x-ray machines... Shhhh.

I love my friends!

Hee! Make it a computer file, with all the integration test steps marked "complete", and I'll be out of here by noon today.

Consider it done (or complete). Look for the very tiney SanDisk micro chip card... I'll disguise it as a chocolate chip.

Disguise it as a white chocolate chip. Then there's much less chance that I'll eat it.

It is vacation time yet?

Isn't it too early for fall? Although, maybe we might actually get some crunchy leaves this year for a change.

I feel like this year we had the longest winter ever and then moved right into summer.

As far as I'm concerned, it's never too early for fall, but I know what you mean. Summer was very brief this year.

For me, the slant of the shadows, the quality of the air--all start saying "fall" to me around this time of yaer, mostly, I suppose, because I love fall and am eager for it to come.

Nice to see you!
