It's Friday! I should feel peppier than this

Peppier. Hee! Great word.

Maybe it's the encroaching virus that will not manifest, or maybe it's just work fatigue or stress (or the damn news of party politics escalating into armed hate-war, Jesus H Christ), but the old energy ain't what I'd like it to be for a Friday.

So, what's lovely in the world? What has cheered you up lately? Tell me something good. Show me a pretty picture. Or link me to a joke. I really need a pepper-upper.

Fridays should feel better than this.

Chai tea during the day.

Hot sake and sushi after work.

Warm cat curled up at my feet.

The internet at my fingertips. (Bwahahahahaha!)

A ridiculously cute photo of a baby camel on ZooBorns.

You're welcome!

The other place I sometimes frequent when I am in need of cuteness is http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/

About my icon I futzed with the image using GIMPshop ages ago to make it, and yes, the statement is oh so very true for me! The original source of the image is David Bowie's 'Hours...' album.

There for a while I was addicted to a little commercial he made for Vittel, because in it all of his various personas live in a house together, and the public obviously isn't supposed to know he's more than one person. Here you go:

And then it was reworked with a different song into an ad for the Reality CD itself, which is where both songs come from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4ntPakNhZM

You're welcome!

I just thought of something else... sometimes the constant stream of disappointing and infuriating news on the mainstream news networks (on the TV screens at work and in the gym, and on the web) just gets to be too much for me, and although the first place I turn to is my DW Circle, I also sometimes check these out, because they can sometimes provide an antidote to feelings of helplessness and/or anger at the world...

But sometimes the notion that there's just so much that can be done is also overwhelming to me, so I try not to spend too much time at them:
