If that's so, then Glasgow is positively Iquito-ish. Seriously, I've seen occasional rains here like this recent bout, but the inches-a-day-and-flood-warnings stuff is more typical of the tropics.

The river is VERY high and full of debris. It's kind of spooky.

Well, it doesn't rain like that here every day, but I've seen water spouting back up out of the storm drains, and the roads looking more like rivers, more than once.

My boss told me that he heard on the news that in the first three days of June we surpassed the monthly June average of rainfall inches.

I saw that, too. I have no trouble believing it. By now we must be edging over into October territory.
