March forth
4/3/10 21:21I did absolutely nothing resembling Marching Forth on this March 4th, I am sorry to report. I overslept in an attempt to fend off this unusually slow-encroaching cold/virus thingy that's being inexorable like a glacier.
Faced with a choice of riding my bike to work or catching a bus in this very low-energy state, I still chose bike. The bus option felt like a sea of microbes, and I think the bike ride actually did me some good.
The Very Important Meeting that was my main reason for making an appearance today began with the boss asking me if I was feeling any better, and me establishing frankly that I was not. "I seem to get a semi-annual cold," I said. "Happily, I don't get anything else."
One co-worker, a noted idiot, said, "I never get colds. That's because I had kids. Raising kids builds up your immunity."
Yeah. Duly noted for my next life.
*intones mantra* Lucky to have a job...lucky to have a job...lucky to have a job...
