Unstuck and working hard

Is there anyone who thinks that writing is easy? I mean, anyone who writes?

I spent a solid month absolutely mired in Chapter 31 of Restraint, thinking every few days that I was having a breakthrough. This wasn't writer's block of the "need to write, can't write" variety. This was sitting down every day, writing like mad, and getting it wrong.

That finally cleared with a real breakthrough last week, and now I'm in that phase that's just pure hard slogging work, writing, re-writing, moving things around, organizing, refining, getting the rhythm right.

I'm just slow. I'm a slow, slow writer.
