There are whole communities for this stuff. "Theming." It's a thing. You buy an Android phone and you make it TOTALLY UNIQUE AND PERSONAL through the medium of extremely finicky, detailed customizing apps. We're talking nudging things around pixel by pixel and copy-pasting eight-character color hex codes into font settings. And stuff like that.
What I really want is JARVIS, you know? Never touch the damn thing, just speak my wishes and desires and hear the answer. Failing that, I like a homescreen with almost nothing apparent on it.
Home screen:

Stuff is hidden all over--flashlight (in the moon!), camera, Twitter, Google, calendar, weather forecast, my most-used apps in tidy invisible folders that pop up when I make the magic gesture...I'm like a little kid with sekrits.
And, since I've recently started listening to music again, I hid a whole other screen over to the left just for listen-y stuff.

People are so clever. Some French dude designed this beautiful widget and gave it to me for free! I added a couple of things, mostly invisible. And also, I haven't listened to Gavin deGraw in years and I'm just having so much fun.
