Imaginary

I've spent a lot of my spare time over the last couple of months writing a Real-Person fantasy about redemption--my favorite theme ever--for the exclusive delectation of one particular online friend.

( It was probably a stupid idea from the start. )

Oh well. At least one of us was happy with the result. The moral? Writing is satisfying. Audiences are problematic. And inspiration is a harsh mistress.

Good Yule

I love the winter solstice. I love the longest night of the year. I even love the shortest day.

So to those who celebrate the darkness, and those who are happy because the sun is coming back, and those who love the baby Jesus, and those who just really like getting presents: good Yule to you and all your crew.
