It's almost Friday
15/4/10 16:28I rode Eleanor O to Clever Cycles today at lunchtime to have a couple of small adjustments made (notably, getting the brake levers a little less manly a distance from the handlebar grips).
While there, I got a rear-view mirror, an additional lock for those paranoid parking situations, and a new pannier-style basket.
The lock looks like something out of Transformers.
The basket is deep, grocery-sized and woven of natural baskety fiber, and hangs from the rear rack. It sticks up a bit, and it wasn't till I got on and started riding back to work that I realized it bumps into my butt. Or, you know, vice-versa. I think moving the hooks on the basket will be easier and faster than losing 30 lbs, so that's what I'm gonna do.
If this workday ever ends it will be a miracle. *looks at clock* Okay, I'm leavin'. Cross your fingers that the Muse of Writing Chapter 31 will visit me this evening.
