Restraint report

It's been quiet on the Restraint front for longer than I'd like, but I've been working very hard and steadily on Chapter 38. It's another linchpin chapter and it's taken me a long time to find the heart of it, so in my usual noodling way, I've overwritten it by at least a factor of two, and am at last homing in on the final thing.

Since my wonderful beta, kis, will be travelling abroad over the next two or three weeks, I have to decide whether to hold off posting, or to post without the benefit of her wisdom.

Either way, I wanted to let people who are reading the story know that though I continue to be the slowest writer in the world, it is not because I've lost interest, or lost my way. Restraint is very much alive, and close to my heart, and nearly done.
