Sunday night

Another long, dark teatime of the soul comes to a close--in fact, should have come to a close about half an hour ago, but I'm putting off going to bed, which, in my magical thinking, is a way of putting off having to go to work tomorrow.

I didn't realize how much the changes in my job have been stressing me out until I started feeling that deep dread of Monday beginning on Saturday afternoon, way worse than it's been in a while. By this evening, it's edging over into anxiety.

They've given me too much to do, and I'm beginning to panic about how many hours I'll have to put in. I'm worried that I'm going to be forced into high-adrenalin workaholic behavior in order to do what's necessary to keep my job, and that it will kill me.

Probably a little over the top, but I feel pretty scared about it right now.
