It was a classic, all right, that comment of his. Let's say that I'm looking forward to the opportunity to learn a new job and--maybe--to write some amusing blog posts about the process.

I don't know what makes people think it's okay to comment on ANY aspect of the physical presentation or way of being of another person, but it's certainly a common practice!
