Chapter 31 is in beta

I don't even want to LOOK at the clock, but I just submitted the never-ending Chapter 31 to kis the Wonder Beta for her eagle-eyed review.

*flops bonelessly into bed*

I expect to post this long-overdue chapter within a few days, depending on kis's schedule.

For your future waiting pleasure:

Chapter 32 is in the works
Chapter 33, upon which Part III ends, is complete.
Chapter 34, upon which Part IV commences, is in final draft.
Chapter 35 is about half done.
Chapter XX (40? ish?--the final chapter) is substantially complete.
Epilogue is complete.

So I hope to avoid any future l-o-o-o-o-ng hiatuses, though I'm eying that gap between 35 and 40 a little dubiously because right now the only thing bridging it are some isolated scenes. But I'm confident.
