Oh, I've been seeing so much purple out and about! I rode my bike through inner Southeast Portland yesterday, and purple positively abounds there.







...and I've got more for later. There is nothing like that first faint sign of spring in the Pacific Northwest--i.e., a glimmer of light--to make me get out my camera again.

Thanks! The house is right over on SE Taylor, I think, somewhere in the 13th-17th blocks. I was on my way to my hair stylist on 37th and Belmont, and it's uphill from the river to about 20th, so I was glad of an excuse to pause!

You live in a cloudy place too, so I know you appreciate the beauty of overcast-but-not-actually-raining days, and the quality of light that makes you appreciate what color there is.

It was one of those days on Wednesday when I was out and about. We locals say, "Wow, what a nice day!" and the immigrants from California go "What the hell? No it's not!"
