That was such a useful tip for me! I haven't been able to find yet where it's set within my camera, but it's easy to adjust in the download/process software on my computer. What a difference it makes.

I don't know why my camera (a Sony DSC-something--point-and-shoot, basically) is set to such cool whites, but I've spent many sessions trying to color-correct images like these by fiddling with the magenta and red levels, with very little success. The "white balance" or "color temperature" fixed it instantly.
