Not long ago, I challenged
ravurian to get a photograph of himself at his most fabulous, and I said I would do the same. While we wait for Mr. R...

I don't know whether this is the most flattering picture, but I liked it the best of all the ten zillion I took trying to get something I could bear. I think it speaks the most truth about me.
Honestly, I wouldn't have posted these three weeks ago. Things are converging, and I'm growing down into my real, actual, 55-year-old self, so I figure I might as well show my face around here.

6/6/11 18:20 (UTC)I have a friend whose hair went completely white. She's only 60 and has terrific skin and a beautiful face and Liz-Taylor blue eyes (and a boyfriend who's 35!), and just a mass of this perfectly gorgeous thick, straight, snow-white hair, so you can imagine how striking she looks. Well, she wanted to be a redhead, and was told that all commercial red hair dyes are formulated for hair that already has some brown tone in it, and that it would turn her hair pink. She even has to be careful what styling products and shampoos she uses, because tinted products reveal themselves starkly on all that white.
[/random free-association about haircolor] Hee! Ramble ramble ramble.
