Resorting to cat pictures

Hello! I have nothing to say--or rather, things the intelligent articulation of which will take more time than I've currently got.

(I also have to admit that the last few evenings have been taken up with "Avengers" homework, which is to say, watching Ironman, Ironman 2, Thor, and Captain America. I'm ready for Joss now!)

10/5/12 20:14 (UTC)She is. Mean, though. This is undoubtedly the result of having lived in the streets for a couple of years before she adopted me. Little by little, she's calming down, but she still scratches and bites the crap out of my hands and wrists if I surprise her the wrong way.

10/5/12 21:29 (UTC)I may have seen all the movies you reference when they first came out and I did just do a quick refresher of Ironman 1, 2 and Thor as it's been a while.
I'm curently on viewing 4 of The Avengers and it is quite possible I may be heading to more next week.

10/5/12 21:44 (UTC)I called this one Sam for a long time because she came around with a near-identical boy-cat (probably her son) and he looked like Dean. But I reverted to "Graydie" because that was the name her former human being gave her. She ran away from him in a fit of post-partum madness, and couldn't be found when he had to move away. He came back around the neighborhood for two years, leaving food and not catching sight of her, before finally learning that she had kind of adopted me. We agreed that she'd stay with me because he no longer lived in a place that allowed cats.
That's how I found out her history. She's still part-stray and spends a lot of time outdoors. "Dean" was adopted by a cat-loving couple two blocks away. He was nearly dead--hunger, fights, sickness--and they are gradually rehabilitating him. So it's a sad story with a pretty good ending.
As to seeing the Avengers multiple times--wow, that's a high recommendation from someone with as many plays and shows to take in as you have. I'm really excited to see it.

12/5/12 23:45 (UTC)I was well-advised to watch the prequels. They let me feel like I was part of the club and in on the jokes, and now I feel kind of fannish again, which I haven't felt for some time. Though The Avengers wasn't as Jossy as, say, Serenity (well, duh) it was Jossy enough to make me very happy.
And now perhaps Joss will be able to release/distribute his Much Ado. And make more original stories!

12/5/12 23:39 (UTC)That said, she will allow me to brush her with a wire cat brush maybe three strokes every couple of weeks or so. :D

24/5/12 21:51 (UTC)Avengers homework: I have been there. And enjoyed it. Why couldn't all homework be like that?
I'm up to two viewings and planning on a third when I have the cash. Third time's the charm.
May I ask if you have seen this Avengers vid? I found it amusing.
