Happy New Year Everybody

It's quarter after eight, the firecrackers have started up here in the neighborhood, and I'm spending my New Year's Eve on Restraint. I've decided to try to get it published, and began yesterday to tackle the massive rewrite that professional publication will require.

So, though I don't do New Year's resolutions, I do have a project and a goal for 2013. I'm hoping you'll all wish me luck!

And for my part, I wish everyone here a splendid new year. I've been less present in the LJ/DW 'verse than I'd like, but I follow a bunch of you guys on Twitter so I don't feel completely disconnected, and think of you way more than you might suppose.

Ahem, hi and happy 2013 to you! Notorious lurker here, just wanting to say: That's an awesome project for the new year and I wish you all the best luck and success for it. If you do get Restraint published I for one would certainly be very happy to re-read it.
On a side note, I always enjoy your posts here, whatever topic you choose to write about. They're interesting, often thought-provoking and have many times pointed me in the direction of fascinating and/or useful things I might never otherwise have found. So, thank you for (still) being a presence here.

Hi there! I hope you see this. I went and re-enjoyed your beautiful "Tour de Restraint" post from a couple of years ago and it made me smile all over again. Thanks for it, and for encouraging me to go forward with my publication plan. I really appreciate it.
