A couple of Firefly/Serenity items that seem worth sharing:
David Griek at "Entertainment Geekly" has managed to write a coherent and worthwhile review of Serenity that is completely spoiler free.
And
obsessive24 has created a Firefly opening credit sequence to the theme from Friends that made me smile and smile. And maybe sniffle just a bit. Go here to download. 2MB. It's dessert.

7/5/05 21:45 (UTC)And the review is good - I'm impressed how he managed to get a particular concept in there without spoiling it for anyone.
Have you seen obseesive24's Space Cadet (M/S) yet? Watch the catwalk scene the second time it comes around (M and S from pilot where he is just about to tell him Kaylee is dead). Have a look at where they have their hands. Mal in particular.
Made my day.

8/5/05 09:25 (UTC)I then had to confirm my impression with several repeat viewings. And it has been independently verified by both Kispexi2 and obsessive24. So there you have it. My first foray into bringing a slash subtext moment to the world. (Or to a little corner of LJ anyway.)

8/5/05 09:33 (UTC)It's a demanding and rewarding task. Somebody has to do it. And by the way, I checked on the DVD just for a higher-resolution view, and there really is very much a "cock of the walk" attitude going on there. Mal's practically pointing at his, and Simon turns away ever so slightly, yielding the turf.
What makes this all especially interesting is that this was the very first scene Nathan and Sean filmed together. The chemistry on that set must've been mind-blowing.

I like that in a fellow-obsessive. Haven't had the chance to check the DVD myself (partner has hijacked tv since I spend so much damn time on the computer).

Yes. Blows my mind anyway.
