The Serenity coat

While I sit in my hotel room trying not to die from anxiety about my replacement passport that has to arrive by noon tomorrow or I may not be able to make my trip, I've been finishing the Serenity coat.




The back. Still needs a few stitches, but it's mostly finished. Leaves on the wind, see, and the beadwork.


And a little firefly.


The front, with some of the lining.



But I'm pretty happy with the way it's turned out.

All together now: everyone vividly imagine Nathan trying it on!

Yeah, Yeah, triple Yeah!!! You a) made it to London! b) you finished that GORGEOUS jacket! c) you lived to tell about both! I am so happy that you made it to London with your sanity! Your last, what, 96 hours were hell filled, so not just take it easy, have fun and dream of all of the autographs you are going to gather on that spectacular jacket! Of which, by the way, is beyond fabulous! I'm ready to design an entire wordrobe around that kind of drape and silk fabrics. Can't wait to see what we come up with!

I've now slept for eleven hours, and will probably go back to bed here shortly. They say that West-to-East jetlag is worse than the other direction, but I've always found the opposite to be true. I should be all oriented by the time they bring me my English breakfast in four hours, whereas once I come home, it'll take days and days to get back on my feet.

Of course, then, I'll just be at work, so who cares?
