Explain yourself!

lambourngb for a meme that I'd love to see answered by a bunch of my friends.
My journal is called _____ because _____.
My subtitle is _____ because _____.
My friends page is called _____ because _____.
My username is ____ because _____.
My default userpic is _____ because_____.
My answers are contained in the poem in my bio, "The Jewel," by James Wright:
There is this cave
In the air behind my body
That nobody is going to touch:
A cloister, a silence,
Closing around a blossom of fire.
When I stand upright in the wind,
My bones turn to dark emeralds.
My journal is called Standing Upright In The Wind because that line of the poem seems to refer to the self we're willing to reveal--the brave or public persona that we crystallize for use by others.
Dark Emerald is my subtitle because it was already taken as a username. That's my online identity almost everywhere else, and the name under which I write fanfic. Besides, emeralds is nice.
My friends page is called A Cloister, A Silence for reasons of slight irony. It is neither. Though I do prefer quiet parties.
My username is emeraldsedai because a) DarkEmerald, as mentioned, was already taken and b) during a Robert-Jordan-reading-and-hair-bleaching phase, I coined the alternate online persona of Blondie Sedai. So it's a second-best, convergence thing.
My default userpic, Philosopher's Stone, is a highly retouched and out of date (i.e., flattering) photograph of myself with a carbon 60 molecule and some alchemical ravings layered in. I dunno. I just think alchemy as a metaphor for personal transformation is kind of cool.
I just noticed that of all the epithets in the poem, the only one I've never used is "Blossom of Fire." I guess nobody's gonna touch that.
