Fellow Browncoats, Seventh Day Whedonists, Friends of the 'Fly:

Now is the time for all good fans to pull an Eric Idle and look on the bright side of life. Give me a silver lining to the hated five-month postponement of Serenity. Tell me something good about the September 30th opening date of Serenity.

I'll start: I really wanted to have a brown leather coat by movieeeeee date. These extra five months might make that possible.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] silk_knickers for the optimism.

According to the Time Out Film review for the 1989 filmic masterpiece Gleaming the Cube, "'Gleaming the cube' is the term applied for that moment when pirouetting skateboarders momentarily leave the ground to carve their way through the air."

Not overthinking Joss's post on Whedonesque last night or anything, but, so, when he wrote, "Spread the word. Keep the faith. And gleam the damn cube already" did he mean get this thing off the ground?

Or was he just--you know, Jossing?
