The Serenity coat

While I sit in my hotel room trying not to die from anxiety about my replacement passport that has to arrive by noon tomorrow or I may not be able to make my trip, I've been finishing the Serenity coat.




The back. Still needs a few stitches, but it's mostly finished. Leaves on the wind, see, and the beadwork.


And a little firefly.


The front, with some of the lining.



But I'm pretty happy with the way it's turned out.

All together now: everyone vividly imagine Nathan trying it on!

I was writing an article with graph paper for hexagonal peyote in delicas, and looking for a page to hopefully link to.. and found this!! Yum!!! I wish.. I had that kind of patience/talent!

It's both odd and wonderful to get feedback on a blog post from the past. Strangely enough, I'm leaving on another little jaunt tomorrow, and will be taking the Serenity Coat out for the first time since the trip I blogged about in this post.
