Jayne's demon cup (see icon) has tantalized me since the first time I noticed it--oh, along about my third or fourth viewing of Serenity.
I did every kind of search I could think of on Chinese demons, demon teacups, Asian porcelain, and so on. Came up blank. Then it hit me: it's probably Japanese.
