The meme: If you post a comment here and request a letter, I'll assign you one. Then you post on your own journal with a list of four songs beginning with the letter I dole out.
Mine? All from long ago, I'm afraid.
altariel gave me the letter "D".
"Don't Cry Out Loud" by Melissa Manchester is the first song that comes to my mind for D. What that says about me I will leave to you.
Don't cry out loud
Just keep it inside, learn how to hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall, remember you almost had it all
"Desperado" made huge by The Eagles, but--who knew?--composed by Clint Black.
And youre losin all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feelin goes away?
"Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" by Bob Dylan.
Still I wish there was somethin' you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talkin' anyway
So don't think twice, it's all right
"Don't I Know" by Sinead Lohan, from her second of only two albums, "No Mermaid," one of my all-time favorites. She seems to have left the music biz for the family biz.
don't i know
the days are only
what we make them
don't i know
the nights go only
where we take them
Comment and I will challenge you!
