OMG I FEEL SO WONDERFUL!



Here's the thing:

• The sun came out
• I scored at Ross again yesterday (a good looking tailored dress for six freakin' bucks, some Zumba-appropriate exercise wear, various accessories and shapewear, and a Max Azaria clay-green turtleneck for fall)
• I went to Zumba this morning
• I got at least three of the steps more or less right
• I joined the gym where Zumba happens, and signed up for a couple of personal trainer sessions
• I came home and hung all my laundry on the line in the warm sunshine
• I vivved myself up and looked so fabulous that I asked myself out to breakfast where
• I ate the most delicious omelette and had extra bacon and read my Twitter feed and wished you all were there with me
• I have pearl powder in my hair
• I'm going to have an iced mocha as soon as ice forms in my freezer
• IT'S STILL SATURDAY!!!

Endorphins rule. Vitamin D rules. Life wins. I win.

It's all good! (Although, in your next novel, if you have a character start chatting with someone during a routine shopping trip and experience a life-changing epiphany...probably no one will believe it.)

BTW, just about every cosmetic line, at every price range, makes sparkly powders that are intended to be applied to various body parts, and I'd bet they all have a pearl white, and they're very likely to be safe for bodywear.

Hah! You're right. But then, that's exactly the kind of novel I'm aiming to write next: about magic.

Pearl powder at the art supply is like $1.99, and since it's only going on my hair, I'm reasonably confident that it won't kill me.

I ..have never heard of pearl powder. At least not for hair. Is the idea to make it shimmery?

I think it's made from either mica or some kind of shell. And yes, the idea is to make my gray hair, which is always in danger of looking rather dull, look more reflective and a bit whiter.

Have now looked at the pearl powder, and it looks DIVINE.

It is! I have no idea what it would do on darker hair, but it's the best thing since violet-colored shampoo for gray.
