I have serious subjects to discuss. I do!

It occurred to me this afternoon at my gentle, beginner yoga class that when you do yoga that way, you're doing it the hatha-way.

I am insane.

This is because I watched episode 2.03 of Lewis last night, "A Life Born of Fire," and a show that up to know has merely charmed and amused me a bit suddenly threatened to become a raging conflagration of fannishness.

Does anyone have an icon of Hathaway slouching back on his couch, all depressed and angry, and playing his guitar? Because...IDEFK. It's love.

I did see Endeavour! And I enjoyed it, which surprised me, not having been much of a Morse fan. Sheer quality.

Jump right in with me, babe! I love Lewis! The one show where I do not immediately guess who the villain is! LOL

(Now with fewer unmatched html tags... hopefully)

...I am never going to be able to do yoga again.

Heh, this is my tv's desktop image. He's absolutely breathtaking in that scene, isn't he? I was telling eli that that specific moment made me want to take up drawing or painting for the sole purpose of capturing him like that, all stretched out and angst festing.

And now that you've made it to Life Born of Fire (which: wow, yes), here, have a vid:
http://catwalksalone.livejournal.com/483962.html

I did it backwards. I saw the vid on my flist and went "what is this show? I must watch it now."

Victorian is another great word for that scene/still. Swap out the guitar for one of its predecessors (and possibly Hathaway's clothes, if you're not cropping as closely as your icon) and in that pose he looks like he's the subject of a painting from a bygone era. <3

One time I checked my flist immediately before departing for yoga and someone mentioned Eye of the Tiger in a post. Yoga, while in a "I WANT TO RUN A MARATHON AND THEN PUNCH THINGS AND THEN MAYBE LIFT A CAR OVER MY HEAD, RAWR!!!!!!" mood, is interesting. Not particularly yoga-y. And then the next class I was all "whatever happens, do NOT think about Eye of the Tiger because remember last week and how unhelpful that was and JUST A MAN AND HIS WILL TO SURVIVE, RAWR!!!!!" And then the next class was all "no, but, seriously, do not start associating Eye of the Tiger with yoga because... OMG RAWR!!!!!"

...I may have repeated that cycle for 5 weeks. It was ridiculous. It's probably for the best that I'm not doing yoga just now because I'd inevitably vicious circle myself into associating yoga class with frantic Hathaway porn and be similarly distracted and not at all thinking about poses and quiet times.
