Undaunted but pretty tired

Both of my sisters came over yesterday and helped me assemble furniture. This may count as an even greater act of generosity than helping someone move house.
Both of them were calm, thorough, and patient, and even if I could have physically managed those giant wardrobes alone (I couldn't have), the task would have defeated me mentally without their help.
We ended the day with all four wardrobes put together and mounted to the wall. The bed was much harder, and broke our brains and hands before we could get it finished. A couple more nights on the living room floor won't kill me.
I was so exhausted by the time we quit that I don't even remember falling asleep. I woke up still worn out after ten hours of sleep, and have been basically sitting in a chair all day. I managed to wheel the recycling bin out to the curb, but that was it: the needle was on Empty, and even three Seely Mint Patties, a kale smoothie, and two pots of coffee didn't shift it.

Where we left things last night

I'll take it up again tomorrow: closet doors, bed slat-base, and cleanup. So, so much cleanup.

22/4/14 16:15 (UTC)I just opened the windows, turned on the brand new ceiling fan (to air out the new-stuff off gassing), and left the door shut all day yesterday. I think I'm ready to go back in there today and resume work.
