Bento diary, tiffin edition

darkemeraldsIt was only a matter of time before I succumbed to the lure of lunch-boxes and bought another one.
Meet my new tiffin, India's answer to the bento box.
It's more capacious than my bento box, so I made whole-wheat pita bread to fit. Those are half and quarter pitas in the bottom tier, plus a nice blob of hummus, also home-made, and asparagus dividers.
How do you eat yogurt with chopsticks? Dip the blueberries in it. How do you eat cooked mung beans with chopsticks? Very slowly. (I couldn't locate my spoon!)
The box, when stacked and locked down, isn't watertight, but you could transport soup in it if you kept it upright. The round shape and larger capacity open up some possibilities for less dense food, like bread. I sense some Indian cookery coming on.
